Join me in warm thoughts as I partake in this most exciting venture! Seeing the harvest of the Fir from previous years was a life changing moment in my perception of our precious oils. There is indeed a price for the purest healing oils and, as with Balsam Fir, the journey starts at Bonners Ferry where the trees are cut down (and new seedlings planted) then run thru a large chipper and loaded into trailers to be hauled to the Distillery along steep and icy narrow roads. The next stop to purity is straight to distillation at the Farm in St. Maries where the chips are unloaded and gently transformed into an oil that is famed and testified to lowering cortisole and inflammation. The whole experience of this week smells amazing to say the least.
